Before we go any further we must introduce you to the team behind ‘The Stuffed Hound’!
It all began with Our Chief Taste Testers (and let’s be honest, the true bosses) our 2 beautiful beagles – BettyBoo and TinkerBelle. Sadly in 2023 we lost our precious bettyboo, Tinkerbelle is making a great effort to taste for 2 though to make sure that the best value treats is all that we supply. Back to the introductions…
Tinkerbelle is a typical beagle. She will eat a treat before she even tastes it! as her nose is a guaranteed guide to a great treat. She does turn away treats belive it or not with a bump of her nose to say NO! So she is our guidepost for treats that also offer a good long chew. This not only keeps her occupied but gives us humans a little peace and quiet…which for a home with a beagle does not happen often!
As a UK small business some things are really important to us.
Animal welfare is top priority at The Stuffed Hound, all our products are responsibly sourced and are simply 100% natural, single-source protein treats with no additives, no preservatives...nothing! Our Natural Dog Treats are sourced primarily from local UK family run businesses that provide quality products. The treats are stored in clean and safe environments and are ethically sourced, so you don’t have to worry about a thing.
Being as eco-friendly as possible is also really important. All of our boxes and the zigzag eco shred are supplied by another UK small business and are not only fully recyclable they are also made with recycled content! Our bags are Biodegradable, Compostable and Recyclable & our Grease Proof and Stickers are fully recyclable too, and again all sourced from UK based companies.
As you can probably guess it’s also very important to us to support other UK small businesses! And because of this we also offer bandanas that are handmade by @bellasbandanasuk (named after her furbaby Bella). We love to have her as a part of the team!
We are really trying to keep it local and keep it in the family. Even our Logo & Card designs have all been created by our nephew, Joe, who has recently started a graphic design business and adds a modern feel to all his work.
To us this is a true family business! Tink is our baby. If it is not good enough for her then we will not carry it. We only want the best for our furbaby and for yours. This is why we go to so much painstaking detail when choosing treats, toys, packaging and all of the items we include…because it truly matters.
